Women’s day……….. is it today?
Nay I say, nay I say

A wife a mother a sister or a daughter,
facing, abuse, discrimination and slaughter

Courage they say is the will to go on in the presence of fear,
who does it better than a woman who wipes a tear and goes up a
gear

Salwar, jeans or the saree she drapes,
always full of Love, respect and grace

Lost in chores and challenging roles everyday,
Still managing to create an identity of a strong, willed and
independent woman today

For this today’s woman shall not ask and receive
she will try and try until she achieves

so I ask myself again is it women’s day today?
Nay I say for it is everyday for it is everyday.
