A banter between the old and new life

To the seed I said

Why do you want to live when I want to be dead?

Then it said

You blew it instead

Carelessly you tread

God’s signs you either misread

Or left them unread

Hold on hold on I blurted

You got it all wrong Mr. Smart head

He made me poor and so I struggled for bread

I worked harder each day but my bank accounts stayed red

Never did I have a good night’s sleep in bed

Love was another meal I was never fed

A bouquet of thorns on my head

With defeat, pain and sorrow I’ve bled

You know nothing, you’re just barking in your shed

Oh is it what you thinking happened Mr. Ted

God made you smart but from studies you always fled

The relationships that were sent to you “I do” they all said

You can’t be taught to forgive and also to introspect instead

Lotteries, bonuses, inheritances and gifts were frequently in your account credited

Lavish expenses, splurging money were the sins you committed

Empty bank balances were signs from God to change your way ahead

To nurture and grow was all that was needed

Though I’ll be your re-incarnation after you’re dead

I take no pride in what you attempted

Shall try and right your wrongs as God has suggested

This time around this life will be exactly as anticipated
